Whats Included?
Who is the retreat for?
The retreat is for those who love the outdoors, getting a little feral and diving deep into their wild soul.
We will be combining screaming into the sea, with sitting in devotional ceremony.
We will be embracing the elements, come rain or shine, but with options to move certain workshops and events inside to keep us a little warmer.
CANNA
The Isle of Canna is the most westerly of the Small Isles. A small archipelago of islands within Scotland’s Inner Hebrides.
For an island just over 5 miles long and 1 mile wide, every corner offers another level of beauty.
You become familiar with the flora and fauna, you notice the wildlife as it grows and changes with the seasons, and you tune in to the ebb and flow of the tide.
With 20 residents and a couple of handfuls of vehicles. There is a peace to Canna. A sense that it is just you, the elements and the wildlife. But knowing too, that on any walk, any face you see will come with a smile.
Canna is home to 20,000 breeding seabirds. It also boasts beautifully clear water to see some of the marine life found around the island. With no streetlights and its northerly position, Canna is also an amazing spot to gaze at the stars, with the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis commonly sighted. The island is working towards Dark Sky Sanctuary status to protect the darkness.
Come rain or shine, the island is breathtaking. In the mist and fog, the hills fade in and out of view the whole island has a moodiness to it. In the late afternoon sunshine, the green fields turn to a beautiful orange, and we can watch the mountains of the Isle of Rum turning pink. The ocean goes from a still, calm, turquoise to a roaring, crashing wave against the cliffs.
Canna has a magic about it that I hope you enjoy experiencing as much as I do.
